Seniors/3

June 5, 1958, Class Night.  Don Cohn presents Gunnar Mjaaland with his American citizenship.

Class Night, con'd.   Malcolm Carpenter accepts a gift on behalf of Melvin Sturdly-- a package of flashbulbs sandwiched between two Mad Magazines.

Jackie Abramson receives bunny ears for her infamous "Betsy Bunny" letter to the Lasso that deplored the fact that no one was dating anyone.

Sunday, June 1, 1958.  Baccalaureate in the Gym.

June 6 Graduation.  Miss Cockrill watches as Jackie Abramson and Lenny Hand march down the aisle.

Dr. Irvin Schmidt (FC Schools Superintendent) gives Bill Graham his diploma.  Dr. Rosaline Edwards, the Assistant Principal, is the verbatim recorder taking down the legal testimony.  In the far rear is a proud Arthur S. Sturdley, Melvin's father.

Gunnar Mjaaland was also among the lucky ones to actually get a diploma.  Dr. Schmidt is whispering "You dumb Swede."  Raiford Pierce and a few others who took the parodies a bit far on Class Night may have never gotten their diploma.

Jackie Abramson and Leslie Gilmore immediately after graduation.

Jackie Abramson and Betsy Browder, ready for the whole world.

Jackie Abramson and her stepmother Edith, with brothers Stephen (on left) and David, stand by the GM farewell sign beside Route 7.
