Dr. Irvin Schmidt (FC Schools Superintendent) gives Bill Graham his diploma. Dr. Rosaline Edwards, the Assistant Principal, is the verbatim recorder taking down the legal testimony. In the far rear is a proud Arthur S. Sturdley, Melvin's father.
Gunnar Mjaaland was also among the lucky ones to actually get a diploma. Dr. Schmidt is whispering "You dumb Swede." Raiford Pierce and a few others who took the parodies a bit far on Class Night may have never gotten their diploma.
