Jackie Abramson riding Janet Rees' pony Foxy.  Lee St., summer of 1952.  This was shortly after Anita Sauveur's end-of-6th-grade party-- does anyone remember that defining moment?

Stamp trading at Tony Hodges'. Bill Graham, Rick Brush, Eddy Li, and Tony.

Nicky Beach and Nash Gifford at some forgotten GM activity (Pancake Day?)

Nicky Beach, Jackie Abramson, and Janet Rees can be seen here, probably gathering at the hotel in Williamsburg.

Cheer up Williamsburg, the worst has yet to come. That's Tom Varney in the foreground. Who are the others?

Looks like Bill Hartman, Frank Abeel, Rod Fruland, and who-- Roberta Williamson?

WAC Nickey Beach tries to enlist Larry Lind into the US Army on a Williamsburg street.

Who is this graveyard ghost girl in Williamsburg?

Nash gifford hanging out.

Williamsburg still. At the top of the stairs are Patt Manly, Emily Horowitz, Steve Vandivere, Jane St. John, and Marjorie Carter. Nicky Beach is near the top on the right (white socks). Who are the others?

Mr. Warner with his group in Williamsburg.

Tumbling
- Wasn't that in 7th grade too?

Bobby Clatterbuck about to dive over. Lambert Miller is in foreground. Rick Brush and Doug Calkins are standing by the wall.

Lambert Miller, Airborne. Bill Pritchard, Dan Runyon, Rick Brush, and Doug Calkins line the wall. Dave Benn and Alex Dority are waiting for their turn.  Bobby Clatterbuck is prone facing the camera.

Why must we do this??? Bottom row: Dave Benn, somebody, Larry Lind, somebody. Second row: John Doty (?), Buzzy Davis (?), Tom Varney. Top: Larry Wilson. Standing to the left may be Dan Persinger and Larry Manwaring.

The ghost tumbler exacts revenge on Coach Crain.

Other Sports

Rick Beverley breaks up fight between John Doty (right) and Dave Johnston (?) during preschool exercise period. Note that Dave has taken a rather large bite out of the back of John's head.

Jimmy Byrne hanging around the neighborhood.

Cheerleaders in 1952 or '53.  Does anyone remember their names?

Gifford's Ice Crean on Lee Highway, circa 1952. Jerry Kunz was a regular worker there (once he became old enough, that is). According to a survey taken of the class of '59 (by Steve Callanen), the cars are a '46 Plymouth Coupe at left, a '47 Cherolet Aero Sedan at center, and a '49 Buick at right. A dissent from the class of '60 (Tom Jacomet) has the car at the far left as a 1946 Hudson Commodore 2-door coupe.
